Challenge

When Fischer Chemicals AG decided to switch to a new ERP system, employees were still handling many tasks in separate Excel spreadsheets. “An additional goal was therefore: less paper, fewer subprograms, and simpler processes,” explains Daniel Fischer. “Everything we previously did outside the ERP system was to be integrated into a single system.”

Fischer also expected this to lead to more consistent processes and greater efficiency. The new ERP system was also intended to be a standardized solution containing all the modules needed to map the company’s core processes. These included finance, sales, customer management, documentation, and reporting and analysis (business intelligence).
