Before the service process was digitized, service staff and administration were burdened with the time-consuming documentation of maintenance work on paper. This work was to be completely digitized, eliminating any breaks in the process.

Furthermore, the original company software could no longer handle the extensive product catalog. The company needed a new, efficient software solution that would also allow customers to easily purchase items via the webshop.

Solution

Stefan Bucheli, owner and CEO of Brandschutz Ettiswil AG, was looking for a robust and efficient IT solution, particularly for warehouse and inventory planning. Through analysis and consultation with DATA UNIT AG, the company ultimately chose the SAP Business One ERP solution. This software best met the company’s needs and structures and could be easily integrated into existing processes.

To automate field service checks, the SAP Field Service Management module was integrated into SAP Business One. Service technicians now use tablet PCs on the go, and the entire reporting process has been digitized.

Furthermore, the connection to inventory was optimized using SAP Business One to ensure product availability at all times. The system is flexibly expandable and grows with the company’s success.
