Stierli-Bieger AG is the world market leader for horizontal bending and straightening machines. This family-owned company, specializing in the metalworking industry, produces for renowned steel producers and machine manufacturers worldwide, often manufacturing custom-made products for them.

Challenge

Before the introduction of SAP Business One, separate systems were used for each department, with many processes relying on Excel. This made consolidating and analyzing information very time-consuming, and information management depended on individuals.

Global sales demanded a global service. Therefore, the company sought an integrated system that would make all processes more efficient and allow the various departments to collaborate more effectively.

All company information and activities were brought together in a single solution, from time tracking of all sales, manufacturing and financial matters to customer service with detailed customer history. PPS One was integrated and the connection to the CAD software was enabled.

Thanks to increased transparency, as well as faster analyses and recalculations, business processes can be better controlled and even targeted additional business – for example in the service sector – can be generated.
