MAUDERLI AG is an internationally active Swiss family business specializing in the production of plastic pipes and accessories. Together with its Austrian subsidiary, it supplies construction companies, energy suppliers, cable network operators, construction engineers, and building materials distributors throughout Europe.
Challenge
MAUDERLI AG manufactures custom products in its own plastics production facility, fulfilling customer requests beyond the standard range. This extends from simple plastic tubs to complex manhole systems. In the highly competitive plastics market, MAUDERLI distinguishes itself from the competition primarily through high product quality and excellent warehousing and delivery capabilities. The company also focuses on diversity, flexibility, and outstanding service.
The challenges in the project included replacing manual processes with automated ones, standardizing different data sources, and completely revising and centralizing the product master data.
Solution
The solution proposal developed by DATA UNIT AG for MAUDERLI AG proved convincing and was awarded the contract. The ERP solution already included all essential modules as standard, with the addition of a customized, fully integrated pricing and quotation tool.
With SAP Business One, MAUDERLI was able to integrate all internal processes and manufacturing operations into a single enterprise solution. DATA UNIT’s generous timeline, with a four-month implementation phase and a three-month testing and fine-tuning phase, gave the company ample time to make the transition as smooth and painless as possible. Now, all company processes and data sources are mapped in a single system, eliminating data redundancies and manual processes.
Result
MAUDERLI’s management is extremely satisfied with the solution and appreciates the transparency gained through the system, which greatly simplifies company management.
Thanks to SAP Business One, MAUDERLI can process all customer inquiries quickly, accurately, automatically, and without human error. All customer histories, agreements, terms and conditions, manufacturing requirements, and specific solutions are now quickly and easily accessible.
As a result of the introduction of the new ERP system, a significant time saving of 50% was achieved in administration and quotation processes. This also led to a positive image boost with customers and suppliers. MAUDERLI now has a modern system foundation for further development in the coming years.
